Good Monday morning to you all (all 5 of you who actually visit). I hope your weekend was as refreshing as mine. Saturday we had a nice little party for our returned soldier and just to visit with friends. Amanda was nice enough to come over even though she is allergic to my house. She did very well about not complaining, even when the guys were smoking outside. Good job, Amanda! We also set up the new TV. Jack brought over his X-Box since they are on vacation all week and, to my surprise, I played Sims for about 3 hours. Matt made me stop playing and we (well I, Matt fell asleep) watched "About Schmidt" which I highly recommend everyone NEVER see. It was easily the most boring movie I have ever seen and I REALLY did NOT need to see Kathy Bates naked! Why was the word Oscar even associated with this film. It sucked.

We slept all day Sunday, after church, and got up at about 6:00pm to go to my mother-in-law, Sylvia's birthday party at my sister-in-law, Nika's house. We were told about this party on Saturday night when father-in-law, Jim, came over late to the BBQ so we had NO TIME to get a present. Fortunately, her actual birthday is not until Tuesday and I have time to get her the CD she asked for. Needless to say, we were the only ones without a present, but we had a card! We ate too much, played cards (and Scrabble with the kids), came home and watched MIB (it was on TV) and went to bed. Exciting, huh? This is why I shouldn't keep a blog.

Fall classes start again soon and I'm dreading the thought. I was so excited to be going back to classes in May, but now, I remember how boring it all is and I'll have to rent some FBI movies to remind myself why I'm being such a good student. Blah.
